Love this app!!

I own this app on my IOS device as well as my desktop and I love it! I have been a user for awhile now but recently I had a few questions for the author of the software and my interaction with him prompted me to write this review. First off if you are looking for an interesting and beautiful desktop finish then this package cant be beat. Not only does it show you beautiful and interesting places but how it changes over time. Just a few of these would be a great package but with all the additional downloads available for it at no additional cost, its a win win for everyone. If you can appreciate beautiful images or want a desktop that could evoke emotion then try this app and I am sure you will love it. Its that simple. Lousy customer service and support is not specific to the small developer but also the large software companies. I would like to say that because of limited resources, the smaller companies and individual developers are more likely to provide substandard customer service and support. Unfortunately it has been my experience that you can get equally frustrating support from larger companies which do not benefit from the mom and pop allowances I may give to a smaller software house. None of this is relevant to Jetson Creative, the makers of this and other software. Not only did I receive a response to my emails with informative content that shows the recipient actually read the email, but on multiple occasions the response time was better than I would have normally expected and exactly where email support should be today. It is refreshing to purchase software that does what is says it does, and has good support as well if it is ever needed. I have never had a problem with Magic Window and wish other software companies could follow the example of this one. Love the App!!

Beautiful!

This is an absolutely beautiful and smooth running app! I love it!! (maybe add more scenes of Chicago?? The skyline view from Lincoln Park? Just a suggestion)

live wallpaper

every time i turned my mac on that live wallpaper that i paid for is not on my screen i have to apply it all the time what the hell man.

Good pictures, terrible app

Cons: (1) It does not load up when you start your computer, so you have to set it up every time. Another major flaw, is that (2) You cannot hide it from the Dock or the Menu bar. Ideally you would set up the program as a desktop and forget about it and not having clostering everywhere in your computer. (3) The pictures are varied and I belive the mix will be susch that there will be a few pictures to the liking of a really broad audience, but it is lengthy and cumberson going over all the pictures without a way to sort thru them or filtering. (4) backgrounds of your liking will need to be individually download. (5) Expensive, more so given it does not does not basic things it should be able to do, like un docking or at least remove from the menu bar. Pros: It does have some good pictures.

Scene

Just a suggestion…. Can you upload pictues such as Niagara Falls and Victoria Falls? These two places are really beautiful.

Incredible views!

I have been using Magic Window for the past couple of years. Absolutely love this app! Best looking desktop wallpaper app out there. Highly recommend it.

Cool, but too short

There was an old app for Mac OS 9 that actually time-synced the image with the time of day. I cannot remember the apps name, but it was perfect. It gave a feeling of being outside, even when stuck in an editing bay for long days. I had always hoped this would eventually take that approach, but none of them are ever long enough. I would pay to have better and longer movies, if offered. I wonder if people are too focused on seing the four hours in five minutes time that they miss out on the ability have their desktops bring them the outdoors indoors.

Where are they?

Where are the cityscapes? I’ve looked in preferences, closed the program, clicked on ‘get more views’ which takes me to the App store, bit no other scenes. The pictures are very good, but I want to look at photos of someplace warm and sunny. Where are the beach scenes? — Update — the guys that wrote this software ROCK. The pictures are beautiful, the software is stable, you won’t find better support anywhere. If you have a question, (or a stupid question like I did) these guys will answer it. Quickly. Bottom line: Great software and outstanding support.

Would cause my Mac to shut down at night

it took me forever to figure it out, but finally read the error message I got most mornings. Magic Windows was causing an error in the middle of the night. I loved the picutures, but got tired of having to log back in in the morning.

Terrific App, works like a dream

This is a terrific app that does exactly what it describes. It’s execution is flawless and the sceneries are breath taking. Best investment I ever did for an app. Bravo guys, excellent job!

13” MBP Retina…..GREAT!

Running a late 2013 13” MBP Retina and it runs flawlessly. The scenes and transitions are high quality to be sure. I only had one suggestion to customer service was to see about adding ‘hot corners’ so that the cursor could be ‘parked’ in a certain place on the screen to invoke the screen saver. While Apple is extremely finnicky about plug ins to their OS, I still believe that Magic Window could implement something of thier own. Customer service responded amazingly fast and courteously….FYI I certainly recommend this app to anyone looking for a high quality, gorgeous screen saver app. It’s worth the money.

A rip off

I purchased this, because David A Cox recommend it, and he failed to mention that “It only gives you seven displays!” so disappointed! :(

Great support

I really enjoy this app, and the developer was very helpful with a special request I had.

Truly awesome!

over the past 30 years I have used hundreds of mac apps. This is in the top 10!

A must have App for any Mac User

This is one of my all time favorite programs on my Mac. The variety of scenes is excellent, well over 100+ at last count. I like the set it and forget it aspect of the program. It ultimately results in an incredibly varied and dynamic experience on the Mac. It makes other wallpaper and screen saver programs seem flat in comparison. It’s not something I think about often, but when I do, I realize this program is an incredible value for the spend. You can tell the creator has a lot of passion that has resulted in a truly unique and innovative offering. Wish list for the future, more scenes (once you’ve seen it in action you can help but want more…) and a version of the program for Windows so I can use it at work. Job very well done. Thanks!

Best Moving Wallpaper App in the Store.

Hands down the best. And I’ve been trying them all for years. This one I’ve been using for a couple of months, and it is an absolute game changer. The scenes are simply breathtaking, surreal ─ and there are dozens more available for easy, free download, ensuring that you’ll never get bored. Many of the timelapses look like flat images at first glance, depending of course on the speed settings. Then you notice that they’re *moving*, often so smoothly and gradually that you just end up staring at your screen for minutes at a time, trying to track the subtle changes. One of the very best apps of any kind for the Mac. If I could ask for one thing (and this is not a criticism but a request for enhancement), it would be that the transitions wouldn’t be quite so jarring when a looping scene reverts. This is a problem for some scenes more than others, but it would be nice if there was a gradual fade, or better yet if there was an option to let it run backwards back to the beginning, making for a single endless, seamless scene. Some of the time lapses, like the Yosemite Seqouoias, the Aurora Borealis Scenes, and many of the water scenes and landscapes, would be PERFECT with this effect. Even many of the city scenes work work with it, as you often can’t tell direction of movement for fast-moving things anyway. :) I’ve never been a fan of a particular software company before, but between Magic Window, Magic Window 4K, Ambiance and Living Earth, this company has my undivided attention.

The Best Wallpaper!

This is the best app for relaxing, ambient wallpapers on Mac. Lots of variety and features. Keep up the great work!
